Eavesdrop

"Realising Potential In This Generation

One Life At A Time."

Eavesdrop is a Mentoring and Listening support service for young people. Set-up in 2003 it aims to be a caring and encouraging support for young people aged 11 - 25.  Eavesdrop is accredited by the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation and is for any young person who might need some form of guidance, encouragement or support through such things as tough personal issues or times of difficulty or transition.

A young person is introduced to a trained Eavesdrop mentor who will meet with them on a regular basis. This is not a counselling session, but rather space and time made for the young person to speak and be listened to. Each mentoring session is approx 30-60 minutes in a mutually agreed safe place. There is no agreed timescale to the length of the mentoring period, this will become apparent as the mentoring relationship develops.

There are two ways in which young people can enter the mentoring program. Firstly, they may go through their youth worker or they can access our Worth & Rhythm courses and join the mentoring afterwards.
